I got a 4.0 (weighted) first semester of my senior year, but this semester I'm getting a D in AP Calculus and am worried I won't be able to get it up to a C. I'll be able to get A's in all my other classes though...

Should I email admissions now, letting them know that I currently have a D??? If in time I know I won't be able to get it up I'm going to enroll in the summer course at my community college (which I've taken extra classes at before!)...Should I tell them that?

Help!!! I'm worried :(

There is a possibility of getting rescinded due to a “D”.

Some Advice:

Inform UCSC about this ASAP. Discuss any possible solutions (dropping the class, Community College over the summer, etc)

Talk to your teacher about the ramifications of you getting a “D” in this course. Discuss any possible extra credit opportunities, one on one time with the teacher before or after school, etc. Believe me, your teacher will notice your extra effort and might even be a little more lenient with you.

Best of Luck

OK thanks for the advice!

Also, if anyone knows- I am on UCSB’s waitlist… Should I email them as well? Or should I wait to tell them after May 1 when they offer/don’t offer admission from the waitlist (of course depending on whether they offer me it & I accept)…
