What are my chances?

I can’t believe you were waitlisted at the University of Casual Sex and Beer with those statistics.

i have the same stats. hopefully we get off the waitlist :(

good one future holds, stay classy

Yeah I’m completely clueless as to how I didn’t get in.
People are getting in from my school with 3.7 high school gpas with MAYBE 4 APs total

Yeah ***, how did u get waitlisted? I had a friend with a 3.4 uw 1750 sat and almost zero ECs besides sports get in. My stats were only slightly better than yours… 2020, 4.0/4.3 gpa, decent ECs… and I got into the honors program. Good luck to you!!

That doesn’t make us feel better

@ lauren: who were you replying to?

Sorry azngoalie, I was replying to Taylor

i called the admissions office because im on the waitlist as well. last year, everyone on the waitlist eventually got in. but who knows how it will be this year

@heyitsmedude

OMGGG THAT JUST GAVE ME SO MUCH HOPE. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED.

but the statistics on the waitlist last year said 400/1200 got accepted though?

Then you look at his major and you understand why he got waitlisted instead of insta-accept.

i’m on the waitlist too after thinking that i would definitely get in.
such a downer! but i really hope they do accept a lot of people off the list.
i don’t like how we find out after may 1 thoughh

400/1200 of waitlisted students got in? Correct me if I’m wrong but 33% acceptance seems a little high, doesn’t it?

Read it in this article [UCSB, UC Davis Admit Waiting Fall Applicants | The Daily Nexus](UCSB, UC Davis Admit Waiting Fall Applicants | The Daily Nexus)

oh well that’s awesome! I hope you guys get in. Good luck!

i called the admissions office today, and that is what they said.

thats not to say the same will happen this year though. last year, UCSD accepted too many applicants who ended up committing, leaving UCSB short of applicants who would have attended had they been rejected from UCSD.
