I’m a current junior in high school around southeastern Virginia. My GPA currently a 3.9. I’ve had straight A’s in all my classes in high school so far except for an A- in physics so far this year. Also I got a B in a technical drawing elective. I am currently taking 1 AP class this year, probably going to take 2-3 AP’s next year along with duel enrollment english. I took the New SAT in March and scored a 1150, hoping to take it again senior year in October and score a little better.
EC’s: 4 years on HS golf team, staff member/writer of HS, babysitting my little brother.
I’m a first generation college student as my parents didn’t go to college (nor grandparents for that matter), I do wish I could take more AP’s but with only one this year I am still up to my head in homework, so next year for me will probably be a stretch work wise, but I accept the challenge.
I am hopeful that by the time I apply in December my GPA will be around the 4.0 range.
I am applying for UVA, JMU, GMU, and VT. I am wondering if I had any real good chances at any of these schools, I am pretty sure I can get into GMU, but not sure about the others.
If anyone could shed some light on how my chances are at these schools, it would be very helpful. Thanks.
