what’s you major choices?
sat’s are average - 2nd quarter of your class…
did you show interest in A&M by attending any camps for high school kids? Have you made an official campus visit, visited your first choice college, visited a satellite admisions center? This is very important when your stats are just average.
give us more information please.

you may get in, but you may or may not get your first choice major depending on what it is.

my first choice was psychology.
second was business.
i’m scheduled to take a tour next month.
thanks for doing this :)

I believe A&M only looks at M/CR. So a 1140 M/CR is not looking good with top 27%. You will not get into business, and Psychology is a popular major. Don’t think you’ll be accepted. Blinn team/waitlist/rejection most likely. You should have applied for less popular/less competitive majors if you wanted to get in.

you are in the iffy zone. I wish you had done your tour before sending in your application so you would have that to show interest.
keep us posted - and best of luck to you!

Definitely not business. I’m not sure about psychology. All you can really do is wait now though so good luck!

The business school is super hard to get into, but i wouldn’t say psychology is totally out the door for you. i had AWFUL sat and act scores, and i got into the psychology school. i think tamu takes its applicants for more than their test scores, which i greatly respect considering i have testing problems. i think you’ll be fine though. and if you don’t get in your major neccessarily, you could still be accepted as a general studies major.

alot of negative nancy’s on here will tell you that you dont have a chance of getting in or whatever because of your test scores, but dont worry about them. take it from the worst tester and the loudest proudest member of the fightin’ aggie class of 2014.

gig em :)

I didn’t mean to be negative, and i’m sorry if I came off that way - I do think you are in the iffy zone, and that may be viewed as negative… I am sorry. It is totally up to the admissions people now - I hope you get the best news asap!

Ohh no klparker312, i was not speaking in regards to your comment lol.
