I have 3.3 unweighted because of the difficulty of IB program 5.6 gpa weighted. The total number of academic courses I have and will take are 38. I have numerous amounts of extracurriculars and I am ranked in the top 8% of my district out of 12,000 students. I have over 250 community service hours and I am a member of National Honor Society and Rho Kappa, which is the History Honor Society. My SAT score is 1880 and my ACT score is 29. I also have numerous amounts of extracurriculars and have played both piano and soccer for more than 11 years. Do I have a chance of getting into UF?

If your UF weighted GPA is a 4.0 or higher, UF is likely a match (it would put you in the middle 50% range of accepted students). If it’s around a 3.8 or lower, it more of a high match to reach. To calculate UF’s GPA, add 0.5 points for honor classes and +1.0 points for IB/AP/AICE/DE classes.

UF’s holistic admission process can seem a bit random, with some folks with 4.4 GPA’s getting denied, while a few others with 3.7 or lower GPA’s get accepted (which is why you should always have a safety school). However, with that being said, UF still views GPA as being very important.

Good Luck!
