chance of getting into UM

<p>so i was wondering what my chances are of getting into the University of Miami because, right now, it's my top choice. Before putting down all my stats, the first thing i want to say is that i come from a very nice private school that has a reputation known by all colleges as being extremely difficult, so when lookign at my GPA the admissions people will put that into consideration.</p>

<p>so my GPA is unweighted about a 3.54, and weighted it's a 3.86
ACT is 32
SAT is irrelevant because i'm not sending them in
when i apply i will have taken five APs, and i got a 5 on AP English Language already
my SAT subject test scores are low but i'm retaking, they were in the 500s.</p>

<p>so honestly, do i have any chance?</p>

<p>I think you have a really good shot…apply EA for maximum scholly money</p>

<p>EA is nonbinding right? And is there like a box that you check on the app for EA or does it just depend on when you apply?</p>

<p>The prospects look good. I had a 27 ACT and got accepted w/ a 16k Scholarship… then again, I think they went off of my 1980 SAT instead of my ACT score.</p>

<p>EA is nonbinding. You choose what you want to apply for (EA/ED/R) when you’re setting up your application. I think the application went up July 1, so you should be able to check it out now.</p>
