First overall question: does top 6% cut off at 6.0%? I’m currently one outside of 6.0% (6.11%) so am I definitely not auto admit? I go to an extremely competitive school, have a 4.0 unweighted and 5.397 weighted gpa, 1500 on the SAT am involved in the band program which takes up a lot of my time, work during the school year, and will have taken 11 AP tests by the end of my senior year. I want to go into psychology or neuro science. Are my chances of getting into UT completely shot just because I’m not auto admit?
I don’t see how you can have a 5.397 weighted GPA.
@aVeryHappyChild Some schools that are super competitive work on a weighted 6.0 scale.
You might want to ask this on the UT specific page. There are folks there who could tell you better, as they watched what the stats were the past admissions cycle.
