USC sent me a notice mid-March (about the 15th) that they had not received my personal statement, grades, etc. I was freaking out because I knew they had already started accepting people. Anyway, I found out that I had TWO ID's.. I had submitted my application under one number, and my recommendations under another. I called them about it last week to clear up the confusion, and the admissions office said they would send it to Processing to combine the two and that it wouldn't take longer than a day or two.
I called back yesterday to make sure that they had done so, but I was told it was still in Processing.
It's late March. I don't know how I ended up with two ID's, so I'm not blaming anyone for that, but I'm kinda upset that they waited so long before telling me that they were basically missing my application. Could this totally mess up my chances of getting in now? Gah.. opinions, please!

It def. won't help but I don't think they would reject you because you had two IDs. If anything they are happy you did the app. online. You probably will just get your decision later than April 1 but I find it unfair and hard to believe they would make a decision solely on the fact that your information was in two accounts. Good luck. I really want to hear as well.

I don't see how our opinions would help much. I suggest relaying your concerns to USC admissions. Don't worry too much; I don't think it will make a difference.

I think it would be an inconvenience to them, but I'm sure it wouldn't affect their admission decisions.

ok. i called back today to check on the status. she said it usually takes a week for them to process it (not a day, like i was first told) but once they're done they'll review it. i know people who have been accepted already.. hope this won't affect it.. crosses fingers
