Chance of transferring PharmD program at Northeastern University

I want to transfer into a PharmD program at a university. My goal is to attend the pharmacy program at Northeastern University.
I currently attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. I'm in their pharmD program. I am currently first year student. After my first semester, I have a 3.32 gpa. I also work at a hospital in their inpatient pharmacy.
I want to transfer for my second year.
I want to transfer because I like to belong to clubs and help with school activities. I feel MCP doesn't give me want I'm looking for. I need a bigger school with more diversity.
I will do just about anything to get into Northeastern's pharmacy program.

Does Northeastern generally accept pharmacy transfers from other schools?
What are my chances?
Where else could I transfer while staying in a pharmacy program.

All knowledge and ideas about pharmacy, transferring, or northeastern are useful.

bump
please help me

usually northeastern doesn’t accept transfers at all… there maybe a rare case of one or two transfers but those students already attend Northeastern…
hopefully it works out for you! =]

I don’t think 0-6 pharm d programs accept transfer students. you’ll have to apply as a freshman

Wow, you’re prepharm, working and still have time to want more activities than the typical pre-pharm club/volunteer work?! You must be very good at time management! Anyway, you probably don’t have much chance of being accepted into the PharmD program unless they’ll let you start again next fall with the freshman class…I think Albany has done this with several people. Have you contacted NEU about this?

Your other choice would be to transfer and take the pre-pharm classes and hope to be accepted into the professional phase at NEU or another school. Is this something you would consider or is the guaranteed entry a deal breaker for you?

Hi,

I’m currently a first year pharmacy student at Northeastern University. And I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but the pharmacy advisors at Northeastern have told us that they no longer accept transfers into the pharmacy program, even students who are already in the university or in any of the health science related fields. They pretty much told us to get used to the classmates that we had because there wouldn’t be any additions.

Hi i was just wondering as a senior of highschool student, is it too late to apply to northeastern pharm program? their regular deadline is jan. 15th but i was wondering if that includes the pharm program or if it’s just other majors.

do i have a shot, 3.5 gpa at Rhode Island college with 46 credits. Applying to the criminal justice program??
