Chance of UC Berkeley so far?

I just finished sophomore year and will be a junior next year. I'm looking into doing premedicine but am open to many majors.

My unweighted GPA this year is a 3.85; my weighted GPA is a 4.6. I got 6 A's and 1 B.
I took 5 Honors/AP last year: World History AP, CompSci A AP, Chem Honors, Pre-Calc Honors, and English 2 Honors.
Next year I'll be taking APUSH, English AP, Calc AB AP, Chem AP, and hopefully Spanish 3 Honors.
I haven't take the SAT yet, but I got a 790 on the World History SAT Subj. Test. I plan on taking the SAT Bio and Math II in junior year, as well as the actual SAT.
My extracurriculars are:

Yearbook- Business and Managing Editor
Quiz Bowl- went to 3 national tournaments (1 NAQT HSNCT and 2 Natl History Bee/Bowl), placed 9th in the JV National History Bee as sophomore, and part of the 2nd place team in freshman year, in additional to many local tournament wins
Outreach Work- Started the quiz bowl middle school circuit where I live, coach Middle school quiz bowl weekly, directed one quiz bowl tournament
Red Cross- Liaison for Red Cross Club at school, active in presenting Community Disaster presentations
Internship- Interning at Sustainable Silicon Valley this summer, a nonprofit which focuses on transportation and environment-related issues.

I plan on applying to go to COSMOS next summer.

If I were a admissions person, I personally don’t like people who try to get perfect grades and just be the perfect student, I wouldn’t want perfect people at my company either as no one is perfect.

Then again I’m different from most people, lets see, you have a pretty decent GPA, you usually need a 3.9 to get into MIT, ok i say yes u have a good chance.

Yeah probably. Just keep up the grade improvement and look for more relevant premed ECs. If you don’t enjoy them, then explore all your options and apply undecided. You might want to look at doing some research for SciFair and possibly get published at local or nat level.

Good luck!
Chance me back?

I think you have a good chance, especially if you live in California. Berkeley isn’t that hard to get into if you have a great GPA and great SAT score. They care about academics more than anything. Just make sure you do well your junior year because it will be weighed heavily in your admissions process. Get a maximum of one or maybe even two B’s your junior year, and you’ll be safe for Berkeley.

Please chance me back:
