Hey I just want to know that how do the a white hat hacker is treated by colleges like MIT, Stanford, Ivys etc for undergraduate admission? Is it positive or negative? I am an international student from Bangladesh. I've hacked America's best selling dictionary Merriam Webster's Dictionary Engine & then emailed to the concerned authority about the bug & in reply they praised me. Again I sent security bug reports to many well known companies like Microsoft, Nokia etc. Morever, I've hacked a numerous number of websites but changed nothing & emailed to the admins about the security hole. Again now I'm researching on 'Cloud Computing' & already have written a research paper on it & going to patent my research. Again I've taught myself on Programming & already learnt PHP, Python, HTML 5, CSS & now learning C++.

Will these play a positive role in my admission

It really would help, but definitely do not word it like ‘white hat hacker.’ Security analysis specialist or something of that sort would be impressive.

Yes, many people may not understand the word. Thanks. As I don’t have any medal in Olympiads, will these help me to overcome

Can any one tell something else? As it’s not like common ECs like President or Founder of clubs. Again IMO Medals… etc. How much will they help me to compete with the others? I’ve other ECs. They are common like Bangladesh Scout Recitation Competition Champion… (many… I’m going to create a complete a thread after taking SAT) But at this time is my stated uncommon EC will help me strongly fight with an IMO or other International award winner? Moreover I’m currently working with an Algerian Programmer in a software project. My passion is Computer Science & want to study this subject for undergraduate.
