So i’m really stressing that i won’t get in next year because all these people with amazing stats have gotten rejected or waitlisted.

Major: electrical or biomedical engineering

SAT: 1300/1920
APs/Honors: Majority of my classes
School: Best public school in washington, very competitive
leadership: captain of sports team and youth soccer coach
work: summer job coaching sports camps
volunteer: 200+ coaching and with ALS organization
ec: mostly sports and some clubs at school
info about me: female, out of state, asian

chance me please

You’ll almost definitely get in. What has your coursework been in the past? Have you taken full schedules/hard classes? Is your senior schedule hard and full as well? Are a lot of the classes pertinent to your major of electrical/biomed engineering… AP Physics… Bio, Calculus?

Yeah, I’ve taken AP World, US history, Calculus, Economics and Biology

Senior year I plan on taking AP Gov, chemistry, computer science and calculus BC

the thing i’m worried about is i haven’t taken AP physics and just took regular physics

oh and i’m taking an english class at my community college next year also

Try taking the ACT as well. Cal Poly really likes the ACT over the SAT.

your chances are pretty high i would guess. i got in electrical with a 3.7 gpa unweighted and a 1380 for SAT. I took most science and math AP’s like Calc BC, Physics, Chem.

You look good to me, but college acceptances can be a bit tricky! I agree that you should try the ACT. My son did well on his SAT tests, but even better on his ACT.
He is accepted into Materials Engineering. He did not take AP Physics or AP Chem. He had a 4.0 unweighted and several AP classes. You look like you are on the right track and shouldn’t worry.

jakelocker4prez, what high school do you go to? jw i’m from one of the top public high schools in washington too… and I’m going into biomed next year at cal poly

Yeah I was suppose to take the ACT in april but I had conflicts with my spring break trip so i rescheduled for june

and islandgirl32, i go to Newport
