Chance on getting into Virginia Tech?

Hello!
I am an upcoming senior at my high school. My dream school is Virginia Tech. I am looking for the public perception on my chances on admittance at this university. While I feel like I would get in easily if I was an instate student being an out of state student scares me. Here is a few little facts about me!

GPA: 4.3 out of 4
Rank: 4th out of about 170
ACT Composite: 25 (I have only taken the test once and am yet to take the SAT)
I am in NHS along with a few other clubs.
I am an all-state baseball player and have lettered every year.
On the negative, I have less then 100 community service hours.

This is just a shortened little resume, but I am looking for your opinion. Just let me know what you think, also give me advice or recommendations on what you would do in my situation.
Thanks!

I think you have a good shot of getting in but to make it even better get that ACT up to 28+ or get a decent score on the SAT (over 1800). I wouldn’t worry about ECs for VA Tech they look fine. Their admit rate is about 67%.

BTW they do not meet 100% need so make sure you can afford it.

If you were me would you apply early and retake the ACT in October? My PSAT was low, so I believe I’m going to avoid even taking the SAT.
Thanks for the advice!

If money is no concern you could apply early (ED). If you have to pay attention to money then go RD.

Last thing hah, if I apply as a say Agriculture major how quickly can I change that?

What’s your UW GPA

My UW GPA is a 4.0, I’ve never made a B.
