You need to calculate your UC GPA, see link: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
Based on your listed GPA and SAT scores, low chances at all the UC’s except UCSC/UCR/UCM. Average GPA for UCI/UCSB/UCD/UCLA/UCSD/UCB is 4.0+ with SAT of 1900+. You would need stellar essays and better SAT to be more competitive, but UC’s are mainly GPA focused. Not sure about the Canadian schools. You need to rethink your list.

Thanks, I know it would be kind of a reach for the better UCs. I am also considering U of Oregon, Umass Amherst, U of Denver and maybe U of Arizona.
What do you think of these choices?

UPDATE:
MY UC GPA IS 3.73

Matches for U of Arizona, U of Oregon and U of Denver. High match for Umass Amherst. Can your family afford the OOS tuition?? I would consider Cal States such as SDSU/CPP/SJSU for better financial aid since you are in-state or UCR/UCM/UCSC.

I don’t think you can afford any out of state schools. Your scores are not high enough for merit aid. You wont qualify for Federal aid because you are not a citizen but you may qualify for in state tuition.

I am eligible for federal aid since I am a green card holder. However, Out of state schools are really my 3rd and very last option.

What are my chances for San Diego States, Cal Poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo, San Jose State, UC Santa Cruz.
Thanks!

SLO: Reach
SJSU/USCS: High Match/Low Reach
SDSU/CPP: Match
Remember the Cal States are all about numbers, so you need to get your SAT scores up.
All Cal States go by the eligilbity index: (CSU/UC GPA x 800) + (SAT Math + SAT CR) except SLO. They use an MCA point system see link below. An index of 4000+ is good. http://digitalcommons.calpoly.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1014&context=statsp&sei-redir=1&referer=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%3Fp%3Dcal%2Bpoly%2Bslo%2Bmca%26fr%3Dipad#search=“cal%20poly%20slo%20mca”
Most Cal States do not publish their EI cutoffs except SJSU so here is the link: http://info.sjsu.edu/web-dbgen/narr/admission/rec-10079.11704.html

Can anyone chance me on the Canadian Schools?

Sorry, gave you the SJSU transfer info. Here is the EI cutoffs for SJSU Freshman 2014: http://info.sjsu.edu/web-dbgen/narr/admission/rec-10079.11705.html

Thanks

Your test scores would make McGill out of reach.

Aim for 27+/1850+…
