Chance OOS Applicant

Hey all, I'll be applying to UW for fall semester in 2011. If you could chance me it would be much appreciated. Here are my stats:

ACT - 29 - 36 Reading, 29 English, 22 Math, 28 Science
SAT - 1760 (Probably won't send this in)

Will have taken 7 AP Courses by the end of the year
GPA: 3.7 (Not sure if this is unweighted or not) - Downward Trend

I moved from a school in a suburb of Chicago to a school in Northern Virginia and I found it a lot harder over here, which is why I have a downward trend.

AP Test Scores

AP Lang - 4
AP US - 3
AP World - 3

Clubs:

Freshman Year - Key Club
Sophomore Year - Model United Nations, Speech Team, Scholastic Bowl, J.V. Tennis
Junior Year - Model UN
Senior Year - Model Un

I haven't written my essay yet but I write well so it shouldn't be a problem. Do you guys think I can get in as an OOS Applicant? All feedback is appreciated.

ur act is decent but i think it on the low end for oos. take the act one more time and raise it to at least a 30. good course load good gpa i guess. u in fairfax county? wat scool?

I think a 3.7 GPA and a 29 ACT, and some well-written essays should give you a reasonably good chance. I’m not betting against you. Good luck.

I used to live in MD a few years ago. Schools in that area are no joke lol. You have an average chance, meaning you’re about their average student stat-wise.

Yeah, I go to McLean High School in Fairfax County. It’s a pretty tough school in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, here’s hoping I get in! :)
