Awards: Presidential, Sentinel (highest honors at school) for 2 years so far, First place in Poetry in a Southern California competition, Poetry published</p>

<p>Top 1% of Graduating class, standing at #2 at the moment
1 of 8 juniors selected to receive the highest delegation at school</p>

<p>I know it's a lot but im paranoid and I'd love if you guys could tell me..</p>

<p>Also, I'm hoping to get into Cal Poly Slo with quite a bit of academic scholarship..What are the chances I'd get 65%+ based off my merit since I stand quite a bit above average?</p>

<p>My name is Mahdi, and im currently a Dual Citizenship (Palestine + America) Junior in Atlanta, Georgia. I go to a somewhat “ghetto” school with a large IB program, so my public school is somewhat divided in terms of academic achievement.</p>

<p>Income Bracket: 150,000 to 200,000 $</p>

<p>ACT- 34; (34 English, 36 Reading, 34 Math, 32 Science +8 Writing)
3.9 GPA nonwieghted, 2 B’s Early Freshmen year brought me down
Top 10% of Class
Several Department Awards: Chemistry Sophmore year, and Biology + Anatomy Junior Year

<p>Ive played Piano for 8 Years and have won several awards. I am also a Black Belt at Shotokan Karate and have been playing on my school’s varsity Tennis Team for 2 years now.</p>

<p>As far as work goes, I have interned at a Dentist’s Office for two straight years, working about 5 hours each week. I am also a certified Dental Assistant.</p>

<p>I have been a part of several state and national competitions dealing with dental assisting, managing to place somewhere in the top 10 in each of them. </p>

<p>For community service, ive volunteered as a translator from English to Arabic and back for several events, most notably the HOSA 2011 Conference in Anaheim California. There are some other notable instances as well. </p>

<p>Finally, ive worked with researchers at the Center for Disease Control over the Summer. </p>

<p>I know its not a lot of information, but what do you think?</p>
