Chance please!!! Chance!!!!

I was wondering what are my chances to get into UCLA. My GPA is solid, right now it is a 3.6. In my senior year I am taking 3 AP classes as well as physics. The three AP classes are calculus, English, and Environmental Science. I am going to be a the person in my family to go to college. I have 5 little brothers and sisters with a single parent. I also do not live in the best community but a low income Hispanic community. My sat and act scores were not that great. It is not because I am not smart it is just that when it comes to those types of test I always seem to not do good. If anyone can give me their honest opinion on my chances of getting into UCLA I would be grateful. I would not get hurt just give me your honest opinion. Thank You.

It would still help if you posted your SAT/ACT scores, none of us know who you are and nobody is going to laugh at you.

Is 3.6 weighted or unweighted?
Some information about your earlier coursework especially sophomore/junior would be useful.

From the limited information that you have provided my opinion is that UCLA is a low reach for you.

Things in your favor:
Race
Low-income
First-gen

That was unweighted. My GPA weighted is 3.75. My sat score was around a 1500. I know that is average SAT score so they are not that good. Which UC’s do you suggest I should apply to??

I would go ahead and apply to UCLA. They have been known to work with promising Hispanic students with lower than their average stats. I’d also apply to two of the mid tier UCs-SB, Davis, SC, UCI- and one of Riverside and Merced.

Okay thank you. Is Uc San Diego consider a tier 1 or tier 2?
