Thank you all so much! Leave a link and I will chance you back.

I know everyone says this but its true, the top schools are unpredictable. For an Indian applying to these schools you really want to look superior. Looks like extracurriculars are covered. Maybe try to improve SAT score and improve your chances. Overall, pretty good. You have a decent shot.

Thanks! Bump…

Not considering your Intel/Siemens awards, which are big, HYPM and Upenn would be significant reaches. First of all, you’re saying that you’re not in that top few which normally goes to the top schools - this will hurt especially for HYPM. Also, though your SAT score is not bad, it’s not optimal. Academics, on the whole, are weaker (for an Asian). In addition, you lack leadership which is almost a requirement for such top schools. Add in the Siemens/Intel, chances are better, but you still lack the class rank and leadership, two very important qualities. You could obviously try writing stellar essays, but don’t get your hopes up too high. Granted, you gotten pretty far with your research, and it might just be enough, I’m not sure if it compensates for your weaknesses.

You have a very good chance at all the top schools. It seems you are not spreading yourself thin with the number of applications as well. Just make sure you pick your recommendations wisely, and write personal essays you think no one else can replicate. Good luck!

Can you please chance me as well? Thanks!

thanks a lot. bump
