Ok to tell you the truth im lost and i need help.
Ok i was in a british system and u ive taken my O-levels last year but then a new school opened in my country Jordan which is Kings Academy and its offering the american system the SAT's AP's so recently i transfered there and im doing my junior year there.
Moreover, after reading about universities one of the high universities i would love to get accepted into are Stanford, Duke and Yale !
so i wanted to ask you
Im recently doing 2 AP's physcis and world history but im doing well ill be doing alot of Sat 2 subjects i am going to harvard model congress in a few days i have been ballrom dancing for 5 years and won lots of awards, im a piano player and i actually finished all grades and recently im teaching young children piano so its like a part time job. ive been doing boxing for 3 years and varsity basketball 2 years. im doing everything i love, im not doing it for university but because i love it i mean ive been doing it for years. Hopefully ill be doing more and more activities. Hopefully, Ill be doing my SAT 1 in May.
Anyway what i wanted to ask you is about art. Ive been drawing for like most of my life seriously and i love to draw ive taken an A in my arts O-levels and ive been awarded the one of the 5 best drawings in the middle east. ive won lots of awards ive been elected the best artist in the school ive even drawn lost of drawings for them, and actually my cousin who is recently studying in Yale has shown me her drawings and i actually helped her in them alot i teached her alot also.
I am not trying to be full of myself or anything but i mean does being an artist with an outstanding portofilo help in universities ?

2nd question: because im new to all this american system what can i do to improve my application ? I hope its never too late.

and if this helps i know how to talk 3 languages and im recently learning the fourth.

I really do need help thank you. I have no one else to ask.

Being an artist is definitely something unique, but I wouldn't expect too much help from it. But hopefully is has given you some impressive awards to put on your application, which will boost your chances. You could also consider an arts supplement for some schools which accept them.

You should definitely study for the SAT's, since you'll need a good score on them to be competitive. Also, keep up a high GPA.

Colleges love languages, so that's a plus, but remember that international admissions are always difficult.

Ya thats the problem, im really lost i mean what kind of students do they want ? What can i do to increase my chances ?
Thank you Kameronsmith

It seems you've made the most of the opportunities around you so they aren't going to penalize you if you are relatively new to the American system. Focus on your passions in your application. You're obviously a very passionate and involved person, and you should try and include all the above on your application. I'm guessing if you were to pick one activity, it would be drawing? Try and give that the most emphasis. You can also send in a portfolio or slides of art work. Each school has different policies on supplementary materials, but it could help your application. They want passionate, dedicated, intelligent students, so some of it is just in the kind of person you inherently are. Don't tell them you're passionate, but show them through your application. Study for your SATs, write a good essay and you should be fine.

Thank you sherlock alot.. I appreciate that and i definetly will !
any other tips i can do to improve my application ? I mean i really want to get acceptted in a high university.
