<p>Also participated in summer internship through Stanford Educational Enterprises, in which I shadowed a doctor for six weeks, then did two-week residential college prep program at UCLA through same company.</p>
<p>Please chance me for the following colleges (related to pre-med/medical science programs):</p>
<p>Harvard
MIT
Princeton
Brown
Columbia
Johns Hopkins
McGill (in Montreal)
Northwestern
Stanford
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
UCI</p>
<p>Let me know if I forgot vital information...</p>
<p>in at all UC's
probably get in at northwestern
most likely you'll get into at least one of the ivies- a crapshoot but you're still a competitive candidate
good luck!</p>
<p>Lion's Heart Community Service Group (4 years, officer for 1, one of 15ish founding members)</p>
<p>Also, to elaborate on my major, medical science with a focus on neuroscience, not sure if I want to be a doctor, but at least a medical researcher or professor.</p>
<p>You have pretty much great everything. Assuming your essay is equivalent to your stats, I would say something like in at all UCs except like 90% at UCLA/Berkeley. As for the rest:
Harvard - 60%
MIT - 60%
Princeton - 65%
Brown - 70%
Columbia - 70%
Johns Hopkins - 80%
McGill (in Montreal) - 90%
Northwestern - 80%
Stanford - 65%</p>
<p>no, sorry, those are kind of the scores i'm hoping for. i know that may seem presumptuous, but it's just based on how i've done in previous classes, etc.</p>
<p>Harvard - reach (i never say it's a match unless you are a URM with over a 2250 haha)
MIT - reach (don't see many science extracurriculars)
Princeton - reach (same as harvard)
Brown - low reach
Columbia - low reach
Johns Hopkins - high match
McGill (in Montreal) - match
Northwestern - high match
Stanford - reach (same as harvard/princeton)
UC Berkeley - high match
UCLA - match
UCSD - safety
UCI - safety</p>
<p>thanks for chancing me. i think you generally have a good shot at every school on your list. you made a really balanced list of realistic reaches, matches, and safeties! good luck!</p>
<p>Also, I should mention that I'm halfway through my junior year, so some of the info. up there is assumed (on reasonable belief). Also, since I'm only a junior, I wouldn't mind some suggestions for ways to improve myself as a candidate.</p>
<p>You're in good shape, if you can gain National Merit Scholar distinction..the doors of admission will open a bit wider. To date, you would be admitted to UCLA/UCB/UCI/UCSB without any worries. Will you complete all of those AP courses by the end of your junior year? Easily admitted to Northwestern, McGill, and a good chance at all the other schools. MIT does not seem like a good fit, but, you have an outstanding shot at the other schools.</p>
<p>Here's my schedule since there's been some confusion:</p>
<p>Summer before freshman year: Health Online (did it to get health credits out of the way; I got a B, which I'm kicking myself for)</p>
<p>Freshman Year:
fyi, IDEA is just like accelerated+ (no honors at my school). no real advantage, just more intellectual people, better teachers, and a heavier workload. i got all A's freshman year, both semesters.
IDEA Biology
IDEA English I Acc.
IDEA World History
IDEA CECA (Just a computers/college prep type class)
IDEA Precalculus (Weighted, I was one of three freshman in a class of about 40)
Spanish II
Freshman-level Orchestra
Marching Band (1st semester), Drumline (2nd semester)</p>
<p>Sophomore Year: All A's both semesters sophomore year.
IDEA English II Acc.
IDEA Chemistry
AP European History (weighted)
AP Calculus BC (weighted)
AP Spanish IV (weighted, I skipped/independent studied span. 3 over the summer before)
Chamber Orchestra (top orch. at my school)
Marching Band (1st semester), Drumilne (2nd semester)</p>
<p>Junior Year: Currently near the end of 1st semester, so no grades yet, but probably all A's, maybe one B in english
AP Spanish V (IV is language, V is literature)
AP Chemistry
AP Physics
AP US History
AP English Lang/Comp
Chamber Orchestra
Marching Band (1st semester), Drumline (2nd semester)
Intro to Linear Algebra at community college (not in the class yet, going to petition at first meeting next week, hopefully I'll get in)</p>
<p>Predicted Senior Year Schedule:
AP US Gov
AP English Lit
AP Biology
AP Music Theory
AP Statistics
Chamber Orchestra
Marching Band, Drumline</p>
<p>So the only AP scores i've actually gotten are Euro (5), Calc BC (5), and Span. Lang (3).</p>
<p>Harvard - reach
MIT - reach, dont see much to do with science in there, or interest in math
Princeton - low reach
Brown - low reach
Columbia - low reach
Johns Hopkins - match
McGill (in Montreal) - match
Northwestern - high match
Stanford - low reach
UC Berkeley -match
UCLA - match
UCSD - safety
UCI - safety</p>
<p>wow, look at the laundry list of APs!!! Impressive. Obviously in at ALL UC's, don't know why you wouldn't be. Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford are more wishy-washy simply because their application pool is FILLED with people like you, the best students in the country. Be sure to write a killer essay, and you have a great chance! Good luck! (oh, and thanks for chancing me.)</p>
<p>Harvard - reach
MIT - reach (take more math if possible)
Princeton - reach
Brown - probable
Columbia - reach
Johns Hopkins - probable
McGill (in Montreal) - probable
Northwestern - probable
Stanford - reach
UC Berkeley - in
UCLA - in
UCSD - in
UCI - in</p>
<p>Be careful with the essays, they count a lot</p>
