Chance please? Thank You : )

So, recently I got into Loyola and Depaul, which made me very happy, but I got deferred Tulane, and so now I'm worried about the upper level schools I'm applying to and if i even have a chance at all. In my school system we have a lot of intelligent people, so i often feel inferior because I've only had classes with these gifted teens my entire life.

I know some of them are long-shots, but if i could have your advice, even on schools I would be a match for, i would appreciate it very much: ) And I'll try to chance you back, although I don't know if I'd be much help

bumppppppp

You cannot use Tulane as a guide this year. It has almost nothing to do with stats, but instead with space limitations they have this year. So they put the brakes on very early, deferring students who always got EA offers in the past to RD. They are just afraid they will get another class of 1630 like the last one, when their goal this year is 1400. It all revolves around available dorm space. So don’t let the Tulane situation color your feelings. If you really want Tulane, let them know that.

BTW, I was a chem major at Tulane and got into a top 5 grad school.

Thanks, that did make me feel somewhat better: )
