What’s your Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0 scale) and your UC GPA? Your score isn’t too bad for your choices, except for UC Berkeley. You’re about on the average line for Berkeley with your scores, but being in California helps tremendously. Your extracurriculars is slightly generic, but I think they’ll be fine in the eyes of the admissions readers’, as long as you expressed that you’ve been heavily involved in all of them. When pertaining about Berkeley and UCLA though, your personal statements will be heavily put under review, so that’s insanely important, because these two schools are very holistic in their process. As for your other choices, I think you have a really good chance at getting in, but it does depend a bit on your Unweighted GPA and UC GPA. Your Weighted GPA doesn’t mean much to the UCs, because they take your Sophomore and Junior year reported grades and convert it into a UC GPA that they use. Oh and your senior year course rigor is also very important.

I agree with @AsianAlly. UCLA/UCB: Low Reach
UCSD: High Match
UCSB/UCI/Pepperdine: Match
UCR/CSULB: Safety

@asianally UC gpa is 3.63 unweighted will be around 3.3

Here’s the averages for UCB and UCLA of admitted Freshmen for the fall of 2013 considering those will be your most competitive schools.

UC: Berkeley
- Unweighted GPA: 3.90
- Weighted UC GPA: 4.37

UCLA
- Unweighted GPA: 3.89
- Weighted UC GPA: 4.41

These schools have a tendency to put a lot of emphasis on your GPA also. The possible reason why UCLA has a higher Weighted UC GPA than Berkeley, is because they simply have more applicants. If you’d like to know the other schools’ GPAs, I can do the research for you. I’m curious myself.

@asianally what do you think the gap for UCSD and UCSB would be around?

If you’re Korean, your SAT II Korean doesn’t do much… The 50% percentile for SAT II Korean is like 770. The curves insanely high because only native speakers take that test.

I would say your GPA and SAT score make it hard for you to make it into UC Berkeley and UCLA.
UC San Diego also seems like either a hard reach as well.

I would say UCI, UCR, UCSB would seem like matches for you.
