I want to major in English and minor in education

Ask if you need any more information!

please help!

The SAT is your main weakness; if your math score was, say, 100 points higher, then I could consider that a low match.

thanks. Hopefully I can bring it up by a lot.
Does anyone know if they look at writing scores?

bump. class rank 114/305

bump. I need more opinions. Do I even stand a chance

But, as it is now, you might have a chance, but I’d say it is still a match.

And also, why am I so often the one to chance people going to no-name schools?

Your ECs are nice. I agree, get your math score up, and your chances will increase. Looking at the College Board website, it doesn’t appear that UMass looks at writing. At this point, consider it a reach but obtainable if you improve your score. Are you a jr. or a sr.?

I’m a senior. I’m taking the sats again in a month. I know my math score will go up because I messed up in the bubbling on the first test.

bump 10char

need higher sat scores!

Hopefully better bubbling-in next time around will result in better than the measly 450 and get that score up. Although I wish you could increase your math score 100 points (and maybe writing by 30-40 points while at it)…

thanks guys. I’m definitely going to study more.

bump.10char

bump.10char

I also live in MA and a ton of kids from my school go to The Zoo. Unfortunately you’re gpa and SAT’s are low. They want at least 3.7 with over 1875 on SAT’s. good luck

thanks. any more?

I retook the sats. I will update when I get the scores in.

I think you should try ACT test . It been reported some people do better on ACT test then SAT. My daughter took ACT test in September and her overall composite score is 28 … which equals about 1860 in SAT . This past may her SAT scored was 1790 which includes the writing . So try ACT test . You might surprise yourself.
