Wow, you’ve done a lot. So, I think your only weaknesses are your UW GPA and not doing too much in the science/engineering fields, but I’m surprised you got deferred from Mich and UChicago. I think you will eventually get into all of your schools besides UCB, NYU Stern (you haven’t done too much business-y things besides AP econ), Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, and Princeton. Even of those schools, I think you’ll get in maybe 1 or 2. If you have a good reason for your relatively low GPA, I’d make sure the schools know about it. Also, if you still got As in all your sciences and maths, that will also help you. Good luck, although you won’t need it!
GPA could hold you back at a lot of schools (3.6 is relatively low compared to some of the other applicants for STEM subjects at the schools you are applying to). ACT is fine and SAT II’s are ok (Physics II is iffy)
UIUC: match
UW Madison: match
UCB: low reach
UCLA: high match
UCSD: mid-high match
UCD: mid match
UCSB: match
UCI: match
UNC Chapel Hill- EA, OOS: not sure about OOS in the carolinas
Duke: low reach
Northwestern (Great Interview): high match if your interview went as well as you think it did, low reach otherwise
U Chicago (Have been deferred already), EA, Legacy: iffy because you were deferred already
Wash U- Legacy (Good Interview): mid-high match if the interview went as well as you think it did, high match / low reach otherwise
Michigan (Have been deferred), EA: weird school, was deferred from there as well. Can't predict :(
UVA: not sure
NYU Stern: match
Vanderbilt: high match / low reach
USC Viterbi: high match but I think you'll get in
Johns Hopkins: low reach
Stanford: super reach
Cornell (Great Interview): high match if your interview went as well as you think it did, low reach otherwise
Case Western: safety
Princeton (Good Interview): low reach if your interview went as well as you think it did, high reach otherwise
Carnegie Mellon, (Electrical Engineering, Tepper, and Physics at Mellon College of Science): low reach
@LesPronoms i was the vice president of my schools business management club, and the director of research atr the missouri innovation academy where we had to design a product and develop a marketing plan
@ShowMeState700 Basically because your GPA is abysmal and your ECs are very spread out. Everything else is good but Case Western is known to want more than just a test taker and the strong point of your app is that, test taking. Your ACT is great but it’s only about 2 to 3 points above their average and doesn’t make up for having a very lacking GPA.
@jacobson123 Not to bash your chance because you may know more than me, but why on earth do you think princeton is match/low reach for someone with a 3.6?
I’m not going to take the time to chance you on all of those (man that’s a lot!), and you will get in somewhere good because you are a strong applicant, but don’t believe the “high match” or any kind of match for any of the Ivies or Stanford. Those are all a reach for ANYONE. They all turn away students with perfect ACT or SAT scores e very year. No match for those schools at all. You could perhaps get in to one of them, but it’s still a reach…because it is a reach for ANYONE.
