Hey guys,
I am a senior at Harmony Science Academy (pretty competitive charter school) in Austin, Texas and I am applying to the University of Texas at Austin. Please look at my stats and see if I have a chance! =]

-Rank: 3/25 (12%)
-GPA: Unweighted: 3.89 Weighted 4.09
-SAT: 1870 (690 Math, 560 Reading, 620 Writing) Retaking this December though, hoping for at least 750 math and 620 Reading.
Taking both Math 1 and 2 SAT Subject Tests in January (Yes, they accept them)
-27.0 hours in Dual Credit classes at Austin Community college
-EC's are pretty solid, 150 hours about in various places
-Have pretty much went won every year in School and Regional Science Fair, went to State Science fair last year, also awarded at I-SWEEP
-Ethnicity: hispanic and asian.
-All classes AP's

And most important I think, was I attended the UT McCombs ACAP Summer Program which I believe will help me because I was able to meet with many professors and counselors.

Applied for Natural Sciences: Math and Computer Science top 2 choice majors

Thanks, and I will chance back upon request!

subject tests will not do anything for you for admissions purposes. definitely nice ECs, i also went to isef, isweeep, and state I think you have about a 60% chance right now because of your SAT, which is kind of low, so hopefully your new results will be better. being hispanic, though, might be able to get you in regardless of that. i do not think that meeting with the professors/counselors will help you any unless you’ve somehow managed to solicit recommendations from them and regularly talk to them.

Eh thats true about the recommendations from the professors;; But one them is on the admissions board and theres only 2 summer camps (other than 2 engineering camps) that occur on campus for High school so hopefully they leave good word. SAT is somewhat low, but not extremely low i guess.
