Sorry this is a long post, but just wondering what my chances are at GWU (which is tied for my first choice with NYU) I am planning to take Subject tests this June. I want to major in communications/mass media studies. Also, what are my scholarship chances? My family is not low-income so I don't qualify for fin-aid but I do need a good scholarship.

Well, I just got in with similar scores (2060), but your GPA is higher than mine. I think the fact that you have a 4.0 in college courses, that you do a lot of extra-curriculars and have a lot of awards will definitely help you. I think you definitely have a good chance for the Presidential or Deans scholarships. Good luck!

Yeah I got in too, and our stats are similar. Pretty much in I’d say

I’d say that you have a strong chance of getting in, your stats are on par and your EC’s are really great. The community college thing is awesome! You could probably get quite a few scholarships here too. See if there are outside ones you can get relating to your interests, I feel like you would be pretty competitive for some decent sized ones.
Best of luck!
