<p>Do i even have the slightest chance? I applied assuming i would be rejected. But my essays were phenomenal!</p>

<p>You definitely stand a chance, although it might not be huge. Are you URM? That might help. Also leadership position in ECs would help as well.</p>

<p>why isn’t my chance huge? can you elaborate what I am lacking? I have MANY leadership roles.</p>

<p>Well your test scores aren’t great, a 33 act is about Average for Cornell. You didn’t tell us your class rank or percentile so we don’t really know how good your gpa is. Your course load is extremely competitive so that’s good. Nothing really stands out so I say you have a bit less than 50% shot</p>

<p>What do you mean “many” leadership roles? You havent listed any.</p>

<p>I teach group music lessons, I am an editor for a magazine, I am on the board of directors for our charity foundation, I was elected to fine arts booster board…and others…is that not leadership?</p>

<p>a 33 is not really “average” for Cornell. Their middle 50 is 29-33. However because only like 20 thousand kids get a 34 or above a 33 on the act is probably in the 70th-80th percentile just because of how frequently it occurs in relation to 34-36.<br>
