A 29 and your SAT scores are definitely low for ND. If you honestly think you can get a 33+ you might have a shot.

The 29 ACT was not submitted, 1330 SAT CR/Math is about the middle 50% admitted as per the Notre Dame site. I am hoping with the lack of diversity we have a shot. The AP classes should give us a good shot I hope. Any other advice? Thanks,

Top 2% of class. Hopeful baseball walk on.

The most recent middle 50% for ND is actually 1340-1520, so you fall slightly below that. If you are able to raise your ACT to 32-33, that would help. You are correct that ND does lack diversity to the extent you might see at other schools, but I think that is a function of the demographic of the people applying being overwhelmingly white, so that could help you. Write great essays, and I would absolutely do the “Why ND” one. that would give you the opportunity to show why ND would be the place for you. While your AP scores themselves won’t be a factor, the fact that you took and did well in the classes will. You said nothing about how you expect your recs to be. Assuming they are good, and that you are able to improve your test scores, I would think you have a decent shot. Good luck!

Yes recommendations are all great and thanks for your perspective. I am confident that with my essays I have a good shot. Thanks again!

URM with good test scores. High chance of admissions.
