German Club (German Honor Society)

Chess team and club- JV captain
Knowledge Bowl- co-captain
Ultimate Frisbee- captain

Community Service
various NHS volunteering (nothing too specific or for really extended periods of time)
I am also a volunteer at my synagogue. I help at services and do other community service through the synagogue. (more long term and specific than NHS)

Awards
Unfortunately nothing huge here. I recieved two school wide German awards. My knowledge bowl team has won various tournaments, and I was ranked in the 60's for scores in science league statewide. (scored 6th county wide)

Rec's should be pretty solid, and essay is not too shabby.

Your academic stats are unbelievable (with the possible exception of your CR score-- are you going to retake?). I've never seen a GPA so high!

I think if you spin your ECs well and emphasize your leadership in 1. Ultimate and 2. Either chess team or knowledge bowl (kind of similar in type), you'll have a good chance. They are diverse enough :)

I think you have a good-very good chance.

your chances are high....like really high. that GPA will probably blow the admissioners' minds off. good SAT scores. your rigor of curriculum is really appealing. you seem pretty involved in your ECs even though you're not exactly devoted to one of them. besides that, if you write an impressive college essay, you should be good to go.

I took the SAT's twice and scored a 680 on the CR both times, so I figured I probably wasn't going up. And remember the GPA is weighted, out of a scale of 6. Not sure if every school does that. Unweighted it is around 3.8 I believe.

My school weights out of 6 as well, but no one has a GPA above a 5.0. Kudos to you!!

i think you're in.

I agree, you have a great chance of getting in. Good luck!

defffff. :)

I agree that you are a match for Wesleyan. Good luck.
