It is interesting that no one has offered a response to your post. In part, I think it is because people here don’t want to be un-PC.

You are in an overrepresented demographic in the applicant pools of top-tier schools in which very many folks present like you. You’ll need to find some way to distinguish yourself in a authentic way. High grades and high scores are necessary but insufficient. Best of luck.

I think the writing awards are good.

Personally, I find the idea that someone (other than a home-schooled student) would spend their time self-studying for that many AP exams off-putting. I find taking so many excess SATIIs equally off-putting. It’s as if you want to force the colleges into submission by battering them with a deluge of scores. Frankly, it is SUCH an Asian stereotype!

Surely there must be more worthwhile learning experiences you could engage in, academic or not. You’re a writer: write a novel or some short stories, or research and write non-fiction, or do a guest editorial. Volunteer to write grants for a local non-profit. Volunteer with a project that helps refugees write their life stories. Pick a subject or demographic–how about those inner city kids who get the jeans?–and collect oral histories. Anything but sitting alone in your room studying for an AP exam, not even engaging with other minds or in activities that deepen the experience of the subject.

It’s all about the leadership! You have to prove to the admissions committee that you are not an Asian robot. How do you plan to position yourself? PM me for details.
