and guys any input that you have to help me is worth writing down. thanks

You’ll probably get into UGA, but you’ll need to work harder for GT. You need to raise your SAT I score to at least 1920 to have a decent chance. GPA is the only other thing, but you are planning to raise that anyways. You’ll need at least a 3.5 GPA for any chance at UGA or GT.

I think you’ve got a good chance at UGA, but you’ve really gotta work for Georgetown. You’re paying for that bad grade, but admissions will notice that your grades are going up. I’d suggest raising your SAT score, but other than that you’ve got some pretty good EC’s and everything else. Good luck!

Uh…I think GT is Georgia Tech, not Georgetown, right?
Anyways, you have a fine chance at UGA. Just retake your SAT and work a bit harder this next year, and you will have an fine chance at GT.
Are you thinking of applying anywhere else? I’m sure there are better matches for you, other than those two schools listed. It just depends on how willing you are to go out of state. For example, if you are interested in going into engineering, I think Purdue has a good program that could be a good match for you. Tuition fees are always a problem though.

thanks maddielove and violinist92, yeh it is Georgia Tech; Does any have any suggestions on EA for either schools. The GT app requires that you have an essay and EC’s listed, The UGA one has no ECs or essay for EA; only grades which isnt too good for me. Depending on this info and my resume, does anyone have any suggestions for EA. thanks

i would say you are a shoo in if you are in state but also if you are out of state…id say with good recs and essays you should be fine. Same goes to GT. Chance me back :].

thanks Galib2011, and yeh i am in state. and i forgot to mention that i am also President of Model United Nations(recently appointed) so please keep chancing. The GT and UGA apps are online and i will wait for a couple more responses…

PS. PLEASE TELL ME IF I SHOULD DO EARLY ACTION OR NOT FOR EITHER COLLEGE THANK YOU

I’d say your stats aren’t too shabby. As for early action… why not? It’ll show the school you’re interested, and, who knows, you might know where you’re going in December.

That is, unless there’s somewhere else you’re applying ED?

thanks meowmix, but one other question, EA for UGA only considers SAT/ACT and GPA…no essay, and no ECs, so should i still wait or … thanks for your help guys

I wouldnt say you are a shoo in for GT, maybe the other one. I mean, people underestimate GT. It is a hard school to get into. You probably have to raise the SAT or ACT. But then again, I don’t know much about Georgia colleges.
