What are my chances? About how much financial aid would I qualify for? If I put nonacademic honors in the academic honors section, will I be penalized. I listed a Habitat for Humanity award and a soccer award I received, but they do not classify as academic.

100% of accepted applicants in the $120,000-$140,000 income bracket are eligible for an average grant of $33,700; 95% of tuition. You’ll still have to pay roughly $17,000 for other things.

It looks like a bit of a reach, but I’m not sure if that would be accurate.

I honestly think Princeton may be a bit of a reach, seeing that nothing in your profile stands out as exceptionally brilliant compared to the stats of most of the past applicants. If you check out some of the 2013 decision threads, you can get an idea of just how extremely competitive admission at these top schools is.

I don’t know about putting awards in the wrong section… Have you submitted your apps already? because if you have, then there’s really nothing you can do about it now:( If you haven’t, then I wouldn’t suggest putting stuffs in the wrong section, since there’s definitely a possibility that adcoms will look negatively upon it.

I just need to get into an Ivy League school, and I’ll be content.

"I just need to get into an Ivy League school, and I’ll be content. "

LoL. You sealed the deal.

I am glad you think so electricninjasex (not going to ask). Anyone want to give me an idea of my chances?

I got nearly the same SAT scores as you. IMO, you should retake if possible. I ended up getting a 2330 (680CR -> 750CR) and got into Princeton. Perhaps you should also consider Cornell, Penn CAS, maybe even Dartmouth/Brown if you wanna get into the Ivy League. It’s gonna be a tough shot at Princeton with those credentials, but then again, it is for everyone. Best of luck.
