I know it was long, but I appreciate your info very much.

That’s what the chance me section is for… XD

The main thing that might hold you back from getting into your reach schools (Columbia, etc) is your unweighted GPA, which is low for the Ivies. Does your school practice grade deflation? Where do you stand compared to the rest of the students in your grade?

I was thinking about that too.
What is your rank?

^ My county does not rank. What is deflation?

Grade deflation is my problem…
Low Gpa, High Rank, High SAT…
meaning that you are not lazy, your teachers rarely give out good grades.

^I see. If you don’t mind I have another question. Most schools I’m applying to ask for two recommendations. One will be from my internship, and and I can’t decide for the other. I recently won a very prestigious award from my school and my teacher was the coordinator or the program, but I’m also on the county health board. From whom should I get the second application?

Don’t most schools require two teacher recommendations?

Yes, listen to Turtle’s advice.
Preferably, you need one from the sciences and one from the languages/social sciences.
