Chance Me At:
Princeton
Stanford (EA probably, confused because it's not binding but "restrictive")
Cornell
UVA
UC Berkeley
UChicago(EA, non-binding I think)
Columbia
University of Maryland, College Park
Georgetown (EA)
George Washington

Berkeley UVA Maryland Georgetown and Georgewashington and even cornell, I’d say you will most likely get in. at least 90% chance
and princeton and stanford, you can if you have AMAZING essays and teacher recs. I mean they have to be absolutely perfect. you have a higher chance than their average applicant i think, but still not a huge one.
i dunno about chicago and columbia, since i dont know much about them

You look good for everything really except Princeton and Stanford. Those are reaches for everybody. Good job. Your AP scores are solid. Your ACT is amazing. Your freshman GPA isn’t the best but nobody really cares about freshman year. I’d say your a match at everything except Stanford, Princeton, and Columbia…Also Chicago can be weird so write good essays.

i think you have UVA, Gw and U of MD as safeties for sure. you have outstanding standardized tests and AP results! ECs as well ar awsesome
the hardest universities (reaches) you have are columbia Gtown, princeton and stanford… you still have good chances but you will need to put as much effort as possibleinto the essays and pick your recommendatinos very wisely!

chicago and berkeley, i consider them to be inbetween ur high match and reach… you definately have the credentials and accomplishemtns but they are just hard to get into (not as hard as gtown and ivies though… i think)

i dont know what to say about cornell thats the other one i just dont know about enough!
good luck i know ou have chances for everything!!! congrats

I chanced you on the previous thread, but I have one suggestion that you may want to consider. It may be in your interest to not apply to Stanford EA. Your standardized test scores are excellent and your ECs are very good. Obviously, the biggest conern at the top schools will be your GPA. Certainly you can make a strong case about the upward trend. But you still just have 1 year at a 4.0 - the 3.7 in 10th is a significant improvement but still below the typical GPA of an unhooked Stanford admit. You might really benefit if Stanford saw your 1st semester grades next year. And Stanford, unlike Yale, does not defer very many EA - they usually give you a thumbs up or down.

You have perfect test scores with your ACT and SAT subject tests. As has been mentioned, you had a week Freshman year, but an upward trend at one of the top high schools in the country can’t hurt you too bad. You also have diverse ECs with leadership. I’d say you’ve worked hard the past couple of years and have a strong chance at most of the schools on your list. I think you still have a strong (relative of course :D) shot at getting into Stanford and Princeton, so good luck (and thanks for chancing me).

^ What the heck are you talking about? Why should the OP looks at “rutgers instead”? It is perfectly reasonable for him to consider top schools; he is highly qualified.

You have really strong credentials! I think you have a great shot at all those schools!

^ Isn’t Rutgers a NJ State college. Not to sound snobby, but if I didn’t care which school I was going too, I wouldn’t try as hard and just go to UMaryland at College Park (better than Rutgers).

I love this…
First time silverturtle let out profanity.

In my opinion, you have a great chance at all these schools, even Princeton. You have incredible test scores, and added to your extra-curriculars, your application is one that will be hard to beat.

ya i mean your in the same boat I am. Actually, higher GPA than me. BUT great scores, great EC.

Deffenetly got a shot at top schools.

princeton, columbia are probably reaches, if u can come up with a reason for your GPA that would be helpful.the rest are pretty much matches. dont know much abt Berkley or Maryland.

I’d say Berkeley for sure, Stanford I’d go for a low reach actually because of all the stats that you have up there. I don’t know much about Chicago either, but they have the best essay prompts ever this year XD

^Shame, I’m applying next year, lol.

Great ACT Score and Subject Tests. Princeton and Columbia are reaches. They rest should be matches

thanks for the chance

Princeton: crapshoot
Stanford (EA probably, confused because it’s not binding but “restrictive”): crapshoot
Cornell: match, low reach
UVA: match
UC Berkeley: low reach
UChicago(EA, non-binding I think): low reach
Columbia: low reach
University of Maryland, College Park: in
Georgetown (EA): match
George Washington: in

georgetown, at least from my area, is just as hard as the ivies for some reason. i think you’ll get in either princeton, stanford, or uchicago. thanks for the chance!

I agree with a lot of the people above me. You have a good shot at pretty much everywhere, although Princeton and Stanford are reaches for everyone. Great extracurriculars, just make sure you write fantastic essays and you can probably get in.

I think you’re doing pretty well, of course it is uncertain whether you’ll be accepted by Princeton, but as for UVA and such, you’re very qualified. I think you just need to keep up the grades and write a ‘special’ essay :)

Princeton-Reach (For everyone, you are definitely qualified though)
Stanford (EA)-Low Reach to Reach [really random, know people who got 2400s and are super strong students but they got rejected, you never know so just try, you may make it :)]
Cornell-High Match
UVA-Match
UC Berkeley-Match
UChicago(EA)-High Match
Columbia-Low Reach to Reach
University of Maryland, College Park-Safety
Georgetown (EA)-Match
George Washington-Safety

Stanford has Selective Choice EA which means you can only apply EA to them but you do not have to go there if they let you in. Chicago is just EA meaning you can apply to other EA programs. Good luck and hope you get into all of them :)
