Chance/Rank these schools

Hey Guys,

I've recently started looking into colleges and have composed a preliminary list of what colleges I'm looking to apply to. So far I've found 29 schools that interest me in some way or another. I'd like to get the number of schools down to 20 or even 15.

How difficult would it be to realistically apply to 20 school with phenomenal essays and supplements for all? How long does a typical college app take to complete?

Anyways I have a 3.8-3.85 GPA (12 APs), 2300 SAT with outstanding ECs and community work and am very well rounded. If you could chance me at the following schools and even help me eliminate some for specific reasons, I would greatly appreciate it! Also feel free to suggest some schools! Thank you guys so much!

I'm interested in Pre-Med

High Interest

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Columbia
Brown
UPenn
Hopkins
Rice
Stanford
Dartmouth
Vanderbilt
Northwestern
Wash U
Georgetown

Moderate interest:

Duke
UChicago
Emory
USC
UCLA
Cornell
NYU
Berkley

Safeties/Minor Interest

University of Miami
University of Florida
University of Michigan
Northeastern
Tulane
Ohio State

100% acceptance safety:

Kasas State

Applying to 20 sounds incredibly expensive (~$1500) and a TON of work. Select 6-8.

Be realistic! Alright, the best game plan is to find out just how much work you’d have to do for each school, also you’ll probably benefit from visiting a few of your options. You’re still at the beginning of your research! Once you’ve done all of that your list should be shorter. Now pick a couple solid options from each category (8 max) and apply!!!

I had a slightly higher GPA and SAT (fewer APs though) and got waitlisted at Penn. I really don’t think you should apply to so many of those 5%-10% schools.

Also, UChicago is heavy on the essays. If you don’t really want to go there, you should strike it from your list.
