What do u think my chances are getting into these schools: San Diego State, Cal Long Beach, and Arizona State
I have a 2.7 gpa and 20 ACT score, for people who dont know the measurements of the ACT to SAT a 21 ACT is a 1500 SAT. Please help me out, and if there are any colleges that you'd think I should check out it's appreciated

Do you live in Arizona? If you do, I think you're in at ASU
SDSU-Slight Reach
CSULB-Match

Well, your chances also depend on your background, financial status, activities and interests. Could you give us some more info on that?

I live in Southern California, white, I'm financially stable, and for those colleges they don't care about EC's they look at numbers mostly. I did have a big improvement though, last semester I got a 3.43 which is a big increase from my usual. I'm going to major in Kinesiology. I'm not sure if any of that is what u meant

Yeah, that's good. Your increase in GPA should help your chances. Just write a good essay and get some good recs from teachers. I think you can get into Arizona state. I'm not sure about the other colleges. Are you only looking at three colleges? Maybe you should broaden your scope.

the only problem is that they dont look at recs and dont have essays. I know I should broaden my search, its just hard finding other colleges because out of state is really expensive for me, thats why i have to most look in California or find cheap out of state tution

I'm sure the lower tier (is that even possible) CSUs can be matches. Also, you don't necessarily HAVE to go to university yet. A JC->University transfer would likely not do you any harm, and probably even let you attend a UC. At worst, I'm sure you can still get into a CSU, and you'd be saving a bit of tuition at that.

yeah, I could go to a CC, I'm definitely opening it as an option since mine are limited lol, but how do u think I match with asu for out of state

Well I heard that ASU was really easy to get into...so go for it. :) I may be wrong, but don't let it stop you.

PS: According to a book I have, ASU has an A+ rating on the girls and an A on the guys. So that's always a perk, I suppose?

haha thanks catsushi, thats a plus
