Chance someone with bad EC's

Senior schedule - AP Physics C, AP Stats, AP Calc BC, AP Comp Pol, AP English Language, AP Psychology</p>

<p>My EC's are bad - </p>

<p>9th grade soccer
9th-11th rec basketball
Summer volunteer program (assistant tball coach) - 15 hours
Tutoring Program - 40 hours, another 40 after senior year
NHS senior year
Math Team senior year
International Studies Program senior year - 50 hours of work in year
Several jobs - around 200 hours of work
One of 30 finalists (top 10%) in economics essay contest for midwest
Second place in a finance/economics competition - won 3000 dollars with partner
AP scholar with distinction
Always on A honor roll
2 awards from teachers</p>

<p>Essay - maybe a little better than average, won't stand out much
Supplement - Very good? I think its better than most
Recs - 1 should be really good, other should be pretty good. They don't mention EC's though.</p>

<p>Obviously, my EC's are really bad. Do I still have a chance though?</p>

<p>i dont think your Ecs are horrible, just nothing too out of the ordinary. high act and gpa should carry you, wouldnt be surprised if you got in. i think applying to any top-tier competitive school requires a bit of luck though</p>

<p>Your EC’s are not bad, they’re just mediocre. With your numbers I’d say 95%+ chance of admission.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’d say you’re pretty sub-par in terms of EC’s. I wouldn’t go so far to say 95%+ chance though, considering even if you had perfect scores I don’t think it’d be that high anyway.</p>
