My son is much cooler about all this than his parents are. He figures if he doesn't get into Dartmouth ED he'll move on, and figure it out elsewhere. So don't tell him we posted this.

3.98 unweighted GPA (don't have the weighted average, but it's all honors/advanced stuff)

SAT I: 800 CR, 800 W, 720 M

SAT II: 790 History, 760 Math 2, 700 Literature

AP: 5's on the three tests he's taken; took fewer AP classes in junior year than would have otherwise because spent semester at well regarded boarding school program

Public school in VA

Three year wrestling team captain, two year MVP, 74-16 overall record; district champ, etc.

Participated in other sports in fall and spring seasons

Elected class officer all four years

Work experience at local theater (building sets)

Semester at well regarded boarding school program during junior year

Senior schedule includes 5 AP classes plus a class at local university

Recommendations will be good, but not great...he's smart, but not the warm and cuddly type

Done lots of interesting travel; focus of his essay, which I think is interesting and probably somewhat unique

Thoughts?
