Are you planning to retake standardized tests?

Should I?

reach:

unc chapel hill

reach/match:
rutgers
penn state
villanova

match:
fordham

match/safety:
drexel

i really cant speak to the others because i dont know.

Rutgers- New Brunswick Good match
Villanova Small reach/ good match
University of Texas- Austin good match
Fordham in with possible scholarship
OSU small reach/good match
Penn State- University Park good match
UNC- Chapel Hill reach
Lehigh reach
Drexel in with possible scholarship
NYU small reach/good match
BC reach but better chance than UNC and lehigh

I think you should be fine with a 29 on the ACT! I was just wondering because some people have posted scores and intend on retaking the tests in the fall!

Should i send only my ACT score? considering the fact that my sat is lower and that i haven’t taken any subject tests?

Also, is it remotely possible that i get any scholorships to the match or even the reach schools?

Just trying to narrow the list to a definite 4 or 5 schools.

I would say you could get a scholarship to Penn State, really depends on the applicant pool. The ones that I said you are in, I would imagine they will offer you something.

i don’t know if anyone else noticed, but DFSMIN54 is first-generation. i think this will help you at several of your private colleges, but probably not for
public unis. anyway, of the schools I’m familiar with…

Villanova - slight reach (business school is competitive)
PSU university park - match

Drexel - match. I’m not sure you would get merit scholarship money though. I attended an info session at Drexel and the adcom said 1400+ or 32+ for merit, but i’m not positive.

Rutgers - Match
Lehigh - slight reach w/ first-generation status
fordham - match
UNC - reach
BC - slight reach

i think you have a good list of schools. your scores and grades are in the ballpark for almost all of them. i don’t think you can go wrong enrolling into any of those schools. good luck!

edit: if you’re applying for financial aid then you may not even need scholarship money, but you are definitely competitive for merit aid at some of your schools.

When applying should I disregard my SAT scores and just send my ACT?
When should i send the scores?

My GC told me it would be fine to send both but I don’t know…

What would my chances be at

Syracuse
TCNJ
Carnegie Mellon
Georgetown

Thanks for the response and sorry for the hassle.

bump.

I am having a pretty difficult time picking my final list, and don’t know where to apply.

2 reaches, 3 matches, and 1 safety?

Syracuse is match
TCNJ is a match and will give you money most probably
CMU and Georgetown are reaches. I think they require subject tests as well but I’m not sure.

I’m probably not going to apply to the higher ranked colleges because my chances seem like a crapshoot; but if I do have any chance at a more “prestigious” colleges, I’ll probably apply to 1 or 2 of them.
