Hoftstra

BU

BC

Syracuse

please?

assume the schools i have to audition for are solid auditionwise

Emerson and NYU early action/decision

What do you want to study? Your chances depend kind of on what you want to do at each school. Try to boost your GPA & SAT score. Maybe take more APs.

1) NYU - reach
2) Emerson - don't know enough to tell you
3) Fordham - slight reach
4) Don't know
5) Hoftstra - maybe
6) Don't know
7) Don't know
8) Syracuse - slight reach, maybe

I hope that helps...Well, it'll bump your post anyway =P

I would like to study theater, which I have done A LOT in highschool for.

I'm an Improv Troupe Host/Leader, Thesbian President, and Honor Theater Student

GPA is too low for NYU, 'Cuse, or Fordham in all honesty.

i was afriad of that....how about any of the others...my list in order is

NYU

Emerson

BU

Fordham

Hoftstra

Marymount

SUNY's

bumppppppppp

you should be pretty good for bu and hofstra.

Assuming your gpa is from a public or religious school (and not a top prep school), I think your gpa is too low for NYU, BC or BU but I think you have a good shot at the SUNYs and Marymount.

You may also want to consider Howard (yes, I know it's a historically black college but it's got a good theater program, an affordable tuition and your stats line up nicely).

Here's a list of some schools ranked well for acting. You

lets bump this up

are u applying to CAS at schools like NYU, or into Tisch's or Steinhardt's drama dept.? Because if it's at Tisch, for example, a large part of the decision will be made by audition... check out the forum musical theater major if u havent already...

I'm going to be realistic

I go to Emerson and you will very likely be rejected unless you can pull a Houdini.
NYU Tisch: 100% reject unless Adam Sandler is your father.
BU: reject unless Howard Stern is your father.
Syracuse: reject
Forham: reject
Hofstra: idk a lot about this school
SUNY and Marymount: You're looking good.

Just transfer later on if you don't like the school you end up deciding on.
