Chance this International Student from Argentina, Please!!

<p>Hello everyone! I'm from Argentina and I'm planning to apply to US colleges this year. Since I really haven't met anyone who knows about college admissions, I wanted to ask you all.</p>

<p>If ANYONE can answer ANY of my doubts, or has any comment or advice, it will be much appreciated!! Please, chance me (While taking into consideration that I'm a student from Latin America whose first language is not English and that a different criteria may be applied)!!!</p>

<p>= Argentinian Mathematic Olimpics (finalist 2005, special mention 2004) -- I don't know whether I should include this since I attended them throughout primary school... They were so long ago but were so important since practically every school in the country participated.
= Top 1 Facebook Spanish Translator in Argentina, Top 6 in the World. (How could I include this? I believe it's very important, though it's not an "award" or anything)
= ESSARP Creative Writing Competition, 1st prize 2007
= Mc Donald's Journalistic Writing National Competition Finalist
= Outstanding Cambridge - ESSARP Learner Award (Top Mark in Business Studies IGCSE in Argentina)</p>

<p>Well, I guess that's it for now. I REALLY would want to apply to the Ivies, MIT, Stanford, and others, not only because of their excellence/prestige, but also because of the financial aid they offer to international students.</p>

<p>Your best source for advice in Argentina is the closest advising center of EducationUSA. There are several in Argentina: [EducationUSA</a> - Find an Advising Center](<a href=“http://www.educationusa.info/Argentina]EducationUSA”>http://www.educationusa.info/Argentina) The counselors there are expert at helping students from your country find good places to study in the US.</p>

<p>Your SAT score isn’t high enough for the Ivies.</p>

<p>Even though I’m international? How high should my score be then?</p>

<p>Some of the institutions on your list will not require SAT scores because of your IGCSE results. Read carefully through their websites, and look for requirements for international candidates.</p>
