Chance this kid--the good, the bad, the ugly?

<p>HS soph so there is lots of room for improvement--wanted to try this "baseline" chance. Female, (half) Hispanic, wants to be a math major.</p>

<p>Grades:
3.5 GPA unweighted, 4.2 weighted
*great math -- taking precalc (2 yrs accel), 95 average
Lots of APs -- US History this year, placed into AP Calc (BC), AP stats, AP English for junior year
no ranking yet</p>

<p>Scores:
Only PSATs so far -- 67 math, 71 writing, 63 verbal = 201</p>

<p>Extras:
Ice skating: Placed 6th, 4th in National Championships (synchro team); silver-level ice dancer who will be competing on pro-am circuit; works as skating coach
Theater: high school musicals
Ballroom dancing (not yet competitive but wants to compete in college)
Community service: coached disabled skaters for the New Jersey Special Olympics
Various clubs: economics, environmental</p>

<p>Don't think she can make the ivies, but where would be a good level for her? She wants LAC with strong math. </p>

<p>She could get in to quite a number of good schools if she keeps up her grades. It would be easier if you put where you live (state) and what schools she is thinking of looking at.</p>
