Hooks: my ethnicity? and I can write a rlly good essay abt the hardships I faced moving to a new country from Iran. I had to move for political/educational reasons so technically i m a "refugee". I plan on majoring in chemistry and/or languages. I am fluent in farsi, and proficient in arabic and spanish.

Is UVA a match for me? btw i m instate

Lol. After a while I just had one question on my mind. Are you instate? The last part answered it. Just bring up your SATs and I'm pretty sure you'll be in. Good Luck! Also on your essay focus more on being a refuge rather than an immigrant, because many people will be writing about being immigrants.

Looks good, boost the SAT 150 points and you're set.

As to financial aid, I have no clue about what kind of income gets it. All I know is the general rule is only Citizens and Permanent Residents can get it, but if you are here as a refugee, I don't know.
