What would be my chances if I got a 32 -34 on the ACT ...i plan on explaining the situation with SAT with a letter...i think my friend started a topic like this for me......

Very good chance. Don't send the SAT. Look into Ervin Scholarships.

You will probably be accepted, but if you plan to explain the SAT scores, why not just take them over again....You will do better. Or take the ACT and shoot for the scores you mentioned. Besides the SAT scores, your resume is fantastic!

I'm not sure where else you're looking, but I would strongly encourage you to also apply to:

Stanford, Cornell, Harvard, Yale and Princeton.

You seem to have strong dual interests in science and literature. Those schools accommodate those interests, while also providing GREAT financial aid and fantastic prestige.

At any rate, you're a very strong candidate for WashU.

Congrats on the TOC qual. Where did you pick up your bids?

I picked them up at UT ( semis in DX and FX) and at the Taylor tournament in houston texas

Taylor was TOC this year? As in...Katy Taylor?

UT's not a bad tournament to pick up bids. How come you never did debate events?

You seem like a very good candidate, and have a good chance of getting in. Apply, and make sure you apply for the Ervin as well.

Another thing I would recommend for you to do is really research the environment for minorities at all the top schools you apply to. Make sure you will have support at the school you choose. I would say that I was very impressed with all that I found at WashU, however another really good one is Stanford....

For a school on the bad side of town with three shootings in a year, your school sure offers lots of AP classes...

You will be competitive anywhere, but with your potential it would be just silly not to retake the SAT (in addition to taking ACT).

Thansk everyone for your info.....

You should retake the SAT because many schools (not Wash U I don't think) require SAT IIs and yours are really good. You can't send the SAT IIs without the SATs. Everything else looks great and SATs aren't really terrible.
