ACT: 28 (E: 30 M: 28 R: 31 S: 28 E/W: 31)
But i heard that tech mix and matches SAT and ACT, so what would my tech score be??????
Subject Tests: Math Lvl 2 (690) US History (780)

your ACT scores
covert to
E:680
M:640
R:700
E/W:700

I think your GT score is 2080.

I think you have a great chance for admission, but it would be better if you posted your GT GPA.

slight reach to reach - poor math scores.

i know this sounds kinda dumb but does the math scores matter THAT much if im not applying to the engineering school? i want to do bio there, so shouldnt my science me viewed more heavily. im sorry if this comes off like a bad question…

btw @ilyssa1257, is my math converted THAT low? i thought a 28 was eqiivlanet to a 680. i remember someone on the ACT board asking a similar question and someone responded saying “680”. if im thinking right, their username was like cjgone or something and said that he went to GT…

what is this so called “GT Score” and “GT GPA”? What system do they use?

GT Score - That’s just a fancy term for the fact that GT converts ACT scores into SAT scores using a table.
GT GPA is the reweighted GPA. See here: [Georgia Institute of Technology :: Undergraduate Admission :: Freshman Application Review Process](<a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission) - Click High School Rigor/Academic GPA.

^I got a 30 on math and Georgia Tech calculated it to a 680. Obviously the site you looked at was wrong.

if you dont mind me asking what were you ACT scores and what did it convert to at GT?

I want to say my 34 was a 760.

if ur NOT doing engineering does math score matter that heavily?

Philly, that math score is fine for admission. You’ll get in if your GT GPA is a 4.0 and you have an SAT of 2080.

The entire University System of Georgia uses the same system, which is publicly available (it is a state-run system, after all). The concordance table is Appendix C here: [Academic Affairs Handbook - University System of Georgia](Academic & Student Affairs Handbook | University System of Georgia)

GT is an Institute, not a University, and as such admits students without regard to major. Everyone is treated exactly the same in admissions, whether they apply as an Electrical Engineer or Political Scientist.

I have to disagree with the use of the composite vs. the individual scores. As we’ve seen from the past, the Math SAT has a much higher weight than the CR SAT. They just started accepting Writing, so we don’t have a good feel, but I imagine it’s weighted the same or less than CR.

a 680 is a decent score on math…

do you think that they would ONLY convert my ACT E and E/W to SAT CR and W and use my 680 as my sat math score and then recalculate?
