To be honest, I think I have good test scores, but my gpa may be a little low for ucb and ucla. EC's may be weak, but i'm pretty sure they are secondary in admissions decisions at these schools.

I don’t know about McGill, but CU is a safety and you have a good shot at Berkeley and LA.

UCLA- 50% (UC gpa is a little low)
UCB - 25% (UC gpa is a little low)
Consider UCR and UCI (match/safety)

McGill - Competitive admissions, so I would say 30% conservatively
CU - safety

I live in Canada and I’d say you don’t have to worry much about McGill.
Even the best universities in Canada have very high admission rates, it’s just they have high drop out rates too.
Anyway if you went to a Canadian school as long as you have a percent average of 90 or above in your senior year courses you can pretty much walk in any top university (unless you are applying to exceptionally prestigious programs). They really don’t look at your ECs either. So I think you can actually use McGill as your safe.

I think your UC GPA may well be sufficient given your very strong SATs. UC admission is much more stats driven and your ECs may not be much of a problem. Good shot at UCB and UCLA.
