<p>i already applied to ED 1 but i still want to know...</p>

<p>im an asian male living in southern california</p>

<p>grade: unweighted 3.94 weighted 4.47 state gpa 4.70
took hardest classes possible including 1 online spanish class this year
2 B+ in freshman year and rest all A's
i also took 2 courses at community colleges
art 106: A
general physics: B (my other non A class)</p>

<p>taking 5 AP classes this year</p>

<p>SAT 1: 2150- 650 CR 790 M 710 W
SAT 2: math 2c (800,730) korean (790) us history (670) biology (710, retake)</p>

<p>AP scores:
5,4,3
taking 6 ap tests this coming spring</p>

<p>Rank: 2/706</p>

<p>EC, hobbies (i actually put hobbies on the list on the application):
tennis (10,11,12)
hospital volunteer 200 hours (10,11,12)
key club (9,10,12)
CSF (9,10,11,12)
EAOP (9,10,11,12)
raising red-eared slider turtles (9,10,11,12)
playing classic videogames such as super mario bros. 3 from NES
reading discover, time, newsweek, etc magazines
job experience at my dad's company in the summer after junior year</p>

ap scholar award
honor guard
golden bear in science and math
academic award certificate
etc, such as crappy school awards</p>

<p>recs are solid not that steller</p>

<p>my fun experience essay was based on the super mario bros, why i like to play classic games
and my other essay was about the red-eared sliders; how i changed to view myself from the tortoise from the aesop's fable from my own turtles.</p>

<p>also, i immigrated to america in 9th grade, but i lived here until 3rd grade.</p>

<p>my high school isnt competitive at all
im the only one who applied to pomona ED and not many apply to prestigious schools</p>

<p>well no one knows ur chance, but here is what i think:
your sat reasoning is kinda off the median but hopefully its okay.
sat ii-- maybe raise ur bio since ur majoring in bio.
ur rank is stellar.
did you do any research or anything related to bioish stuff?
extra recs?

and nope i didnt do research on bioish stuff
on the application, i put premed for areas of studies
are you applying too?

u can be blunt with my stats i know it sucks</p>

<p>You have the same SAT as I do, but way better class rank. Of course the counseling office won't take some middle school grades off my transcript, and they are what's dragging down my GPA and class rank(we don't weight either, ugh). Do you think Pomona will take this into aco****?</p>

<p>theonlyone- LACs love to see passion. Integrate Bio into your essays, I like Little Mother's idea. They only look at your top SAT IIs, I wouldn't worry about the lower ones too much except maybe they will look at Bio since it's your major.</p>
