Chance Thread

We’re almost in the same range of GPA and test scores, and from who I’ve talked to (teachers, counselors, and this site), they all say that we’ve got a shot.

Assuming your essays turn out solid, I will say this: They will not say no, but they will either say yes or waitlist you.

Both essays they require you to write are significant in terms of your acceptance. The personal statement is what they use to get to know you, and the diversity essay is what they use to see if you would fit in well at the UW. Personally I did not write my essays with a word count in mind. Instead I wrote until I felt that my point was put across, and edited if it was too long.

Writing less than 500 words isn’t going to come off as careless, it’s the quality and care you put into the writing that they judge.

Chance me back, perhaps? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-washington/814185-nervous-applicant-any-insight.html
