I would be appling ED. Question: If I applied ED, would that mean that I wouldn't get any financial aid? I still don't really see how ED is bad. I'm stubborn like that. LMAO. What are my chances if my mom makes a little over 42K (she is an elementary teacher/parents divorced)? I really don't want to pay that high-price tag that Middlebury has, but I mean if I had to, I would. How much could I get, based on need?

I would say your class rank and EC's are your weakest points. Also, just so you know, I don't think ED helps at Midd as much as at other schools. I think you should apply, but also look at some slightly less selective LACs like grinnell.

From looking at your GPA, test scores and number of APs, I'd say you have a not-too-shabby chance. The thing about financial aid and ED is that you're less likely to get financial aid if you apply ED, basically because the admissions people figure that they can accept more people who can pay full tuition if they accept them regular decision. Given your stats, I'd say you have a good chance of getting in, and your chance of getting financial aid is better if you do regular decision.

How much financial aid?

Middlebury lovess minorities. u r in.

BAD news...I got a C (75) in Stats, a B- in Physics (81), a B in Precal (83), a B+ in US History (88). (95.019 Weighted GPA)

Chances now?

Middlebury meets 100% of financial aid meet so I think you would be gettign the same financial aid package either way.

Can someone explain 100% of financial aid meet?

It means that if you apply and get accepted, they guarantee that they will calculate how much your family may contribute and meet 100% of the remaining part. So you don't have to worry about financial problems very much.

So if my EFC was like 5K, that means that I'd just have to pay 5K throughout the course of the year (tuition includes housing)? Would I have to pay back the other 35K in like loans or is it a grant or the school pays, or what? :) thanks!

Yes, you have to pay 5K throughout the year (including everything). Generally, they prepare a combination of grants and loans for financial aid. You can check the average grants, but all the schools that I checked are very generous in giving grants (for instance, if your need is 35K, probably 25-30K would be grants, 5K loans)

yea i would say no.. u have no EC's

I have ECs I just haven't listed them all.

Why do you want to go to Middleburry? It seems so boring and secluded. You probably have a 60 percent chance of getting in though. Class Rank will hinder your chances though. Liberal Arts schools are wack!

In. Hispanic with SAT scores and grades.

How does the financial aid go again? LOL...I don't get it....still...lol
