I am a transfer student from california community college.

My GPA is 4.0, and I am in Sociology major.
Not many Xtra activities, but I've been working since I entered to the college.

I have one "C" from a non transferrable course. (So it did not actually affect my overall GPA, but it is shown on my official transcript.)
And I don't think my personal statements are good.

want to transer either ucla or usc (music or buisness major)?
im in one of the best transfer community colleges in California. i was wondering if how could i easily tranfer to a university-
first choice - usc 2nd- ucla.
im not worried about financially though and im not really a very very smart student but very hardworking and focused in college.

im thinking of business or music major. either the two would work for me. my parents wants me to take business (which is good) but i love to sing(no instruments though) Im very passionate about my singing. what is the best way to transfer and how hard and how could it be possibly easy to get to a university. is there a minimum gpa????

if i push through a music major, am i required to play instruments or can i focus on my craft in singing. i would love to take business but heard it takes so long.

Somehow I feel that transfering is much easier than getting in as freshman and I wonder why; true for all UCs. There were just so much tensions when you were in high school, and getting into any UCs is really good already; maybe that's just my high school =/. But you know, at the end you still need some luck because it's pretty enigmatic how they determine who gets in and who doesn't. My friend has friends from his college that didn't get accept while they have 3.7x 3.8x GPA, while his other friends with 3.4x 3.5x got in. Their majors and extracircular acitivities probably played a role in there, but I doubt that's really the whole story.

Anyway, 4.0 GPA is awesome.. you will be fine. I got in as biochem transfer from a not so top CC in California, and I had 1 F (stupid mistake from when I was in high school -_-. Now it is there forever even you retook it with an A) and 1 B. I didn't have any extracurricular activities or job either.
